Let me start by introducing myself……..I’m Catherine, thirty-something mum of boys located on the South Coast of the UK.

I’m a lover of list making and planning but hold my hands up that my list(s) rarely ever get cleared down and completed. Sound familiar? I can lose hours, no days, to Pinterest, and if my ‘real life’ was half as exciting as my ‘Pinterest life’ then….well I wouldn’t be here writing this blog.

So here I am, and in true ‘me’ style, here’s a list of a few things that prompted this………

  1. Annual reflection on reaching another birthday
  2. Currently a fair amount of time on my hands in relative adult isolation – otherwise known as maternity leave
  3. A recent debate I watched about why mums ‘lose themselves’ when they have children

All three have had me analysing and reviewing myself a great deal recently and if I’m really honest, I don’t like what I see. Not for me, not for my partner, and not for my boys. I’ve definitely lost ‘me’ somewhere along the way. So change is needed and in my world what gets measured gets done. It’s time to start living intentionally and jump in with both feet!
